Set is a powerful, and sometimes frightening, deity. However, He was also the patron god of certain Pharaohs. Most notably, Set was the patron God for Ramses the Great. He protects the dead on the way to the Afterlife. He is also the son of Geb - the Earth - and Nut - the Sky. He is the brother of Osiris (Wesir), Isis (Aset), Horus the Elder (Heru-Wer), and sibling-husband to Nebthet (Nephthys).
